|
On Friday, Betty (and her trusty canine companion, Misia), Laurent and I met up at the trailhead and we made our way up to the Forks campsite, where we set up camp. After an incredible pancake breakfast on Saturday morning (with freshly picked berries and real maple syrup to garnish the pancakes), we hiked along the Maude-Lawson trail, eventually reaching the continental divide at North Kananaskis pass. At this point we turned back, and we made our way back down to the Forks campsite. Our Saturday hike was a long but fulfilling 12 hour hike, although our return to camp was a tad later than we were hoping for! We relaxed on Sunday morning, before making our way with our full backpacks back down to the trailhead, and then making our way back to Edmonton. - Ryan
