The Edmonton Folk Music Festival is staged every year in beautiful downtown Gallagher Park. It offers Edmontonians a chance to sample outstanding music from throughout Alberta, Canada and the world.

We will meet at the festival and hang out together as a group to check out the Wednesday evening performances. Meeting time and location will be communicated via email and posted here closer to the date of the concert. Only the Main Stage will have performers (starting at 7:30 PM)

UPDATE: When the gates open, the Coordinators will scout out a location for the tarps in the non-smoking section of the hill. Let's meet at 7 p.m. SHARP down at the Main Entrance (lower entrance on the hill) and we can head back to the tarps. Coordinators will be wearing the Yellow EOC hats.

PLEASE NOTE: The EOC will not arrange ticket purchases. This event is simply intended to allow EOC members to find each other and attend the concert together. Everyone attending this event must purchase their own ticket. Tickets for the Wednesday evening show cost $50.00 each if you are a 4-day pass holder, otherwise your ticket will cost $70.00 After July 1st, 2009 all tickets for the Wed evening performance will cost $70.00 Ticket prices after August 1st become $90.00 per ticket. They can be purchased from the Edmonton Folk Music Festival Ticket Office by calling 780 429-1999 or at a Ticketmaster location near you. Also on sale are tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday evening performances. Edmonton Folk Music Festival tickets tend to sell out quickly, so please don't delay if you wish to join us!

We will meet inside the main gate (located on 97 Avenue, west of 96 Street). More specific information on a meeting location will be sent out just prior to this event. I will be wearing a yellow Edmonton Outdoor Club hat. Note: There is NO parking on-site. Park n Ride is available at the University of Alberta (any campus lot) at $4.20 per day throughout the festival, with buses departing every 15 minutes from the southeast corner of the Butterdome (87 Ave. at 114 St.). Buses cost $2.50 each way for adults.(bring exact change)
