Meet at 5:45PM for a 5:50 departure.

We will walk from Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre (NW corner parking lot - see below for more directions) west to 91 St, then south on 91 St. to La Cite Francophone to say hi to EOC member, Sylvia, who will be volunteering at the Ceyana Canoe Club that evening. After saying hi to Sylvia, we'll continue south on 91 to 84 Ave, then west to the pathway into Mill Creek Ravine (at the end of 84 Ave). We'll head down into the Ravine and walk around in the displays and festivities of the Flying Canoe. I don't have a firm route to follow - we'll look for the interesting stuff going on. The festival will have trail illumination, which will help us find the programs.

Interesting stuff includes:
  1. Indigenous Camp with:
    1. Cultural program/presentation
    2. Drumming, dances and conversation, presented by Native Counselling Services
  2. Metis Camp with:
    1. Lil Buflo: A Metis way of Life exhibit, collaboration with Parks Canada
    2. Metis dances and stories with Dave Cunningham Family Band
  3. Trapper's Cabin:
    1. Video Puppetry
    2. Live French Canadian storytelling and music with Roger Dallaire
