Join us for this WINTER SPORT EXTRAVAGANZA on St. Paddy's day ☘ pre-weekend on Saturday March 12th, 2022!! Wear green if you want, or just wish a "top of the mornin to ya" to everyone you see on the trails ☺️

There will be a fire, so bring your own hot dog/smokie and marshmallows for roasting over the fire. Also it's bring your own food during and after the event.

  • Enjoy a skate with Mark and group on the Iceway. Rundle Park boasts an Iceway trail for skating through wooded trees, including a skating rink.
  • Or the option to join an amazing hike with Sandie on the many trails throughout the Park while others skate, and then come back and enjoy the fire.

Sandie plans to start the hike from Rundle Park then head across the pedestrian bridge over the river to Strathcona Provincial Park. Trails includes a wide variety of terrain, including aspen and spruce forested trails up and down the river valley. The pace will be ~4.5- 5km/hr for ~1.5-2 hours then they'll meet up with the skaters for the BBQ.
