We will meet in Wolf Willow Ridge at the
designated Fort Edmonton Footbridge-parallel-
parking-section located on Wanyandi Way, west
of its intersection with Wize Court. Below is a
google maps link to the exact meeting location
Directions:
The hike will be at a brisk pace and will include mostly wide snow covered paths. Length of hike will be approx. 16-18km and should take us 3.5-4 hours to complete.
We will meet at 6:20PM and the hike will begin at 6:30PM. We will begin by hiking down into the river valley and following snowy path towards Terwillegar Park. Once in Terwillegar there are more wide paths that we can take heading towards Anthony Henday. We will continue with a pace of 4.5-5km/hr. The loop continues around Anthnoy Henday footbridge and works its way back around the other side of the river through the ravine system in Wedgewood, and the river ridge along Donsdale and Gariepy. We eventually end up where we started. | |||||||
