This is the official EOC Dragon boat festival team entry: Edmonton Outdoor Dragons The Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival Association (EDBFA) is a non-profit organization which promotes Dragon Boat racing and its multicultural celebration in the City of Edmonton. Association Objectives: - Promote the sport of Dragon Boat racing for fun and recreation in Edmonton - Introduce Asian culture, friendship and promote multiculturalism Membership The EDBFA welcomes any interested community members with passion for community involvement and dragon boat racing. Please click HERE for more info. Team practices will be held once a week for twelve weeks starting June 10 (weather and river conditions permitting). Currently we are booked for Tuesdays at 8:00 PM. Please arrive early for practices and at 7:00 PM for the first practice. The Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival takes place on August 22 to 24 / 2008, with one race on Friday night, and two on both Saturday and Sunday. Paddlers must be prepared to paddle at least 4 races out of five during the festival weekend, and attend at least 50% of the practices. All equipment, coaching and steering provided. Event Directions: | EDBFA trailer. From 98 Ave, just east of the Low Level
Bridge, turn north into the Edmonton Queen River Boat office area.

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions. - When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel. - We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events. - Please scroll through and read the entire online waiver when you sign up. - Details of this event are subject to undergo a change at any point in time, with or without warning. | |||||||
