Itinerary:
Come one, come all, for a three hour (approx) exploration hike that will take you from the Fort Edmonton footbridge to the Terwilliger footbridge through some of the single track trails in the scenic river valley. The hike is a 10-12 km loop that will take approximately 3 hours and will wind its way through established trails, single track trails and through the Terwilliger neighbourhood. Bring your camera and a sense of adventure for we may see cool ice sculptures on the river and may even catch a glimpse of some winter wildlife (aka chickadees, downy or pileated woodpeckers).

Meet at the eastern part of the parking lot, furthest away from the John Janzen Nature Centre, closer to the Quesnell bridge at 1230 Departure time for the hike will be 1240.

Difficulty: the walk will be at a "moderate" pace (approx 4-5km/h). Trails will be snow covered, so bring microspikes. Event will happen snow or shine.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:To get to Fort Edmonton Park take Whitemud Drive to Fox Drive.
Turn into Fort Edmonton Park Rd NW, and follow the road into the parking lot.
We will meet on the east side close to the River Loop trail head, near the Quesnell bridge.
