Itinerary:

Meet by Shelter #2 on the south-east corner of Hawlerak Park (ie. the shelter nearest the Buena Vista Footbridge).

We will meet at 6:15pm for a 6:25pm start.
I will be standing by a grey Hyundai wagon and wearing a yellow EOC cap so you can recognise me.

This will be a MODERATE-PACED hike.

The hike will start by crossing the Buena Vista Footbridge to the west side of the river.
We will continue along the trail heading north from Buena Vista Park and will dodo the long- ish steady climb to Riverside Drive and walk the short distance to Ian M's favourite viewpoint in Edmonton, where we'll spend a few minutes enjoying the view.
We'll then retrace our steps to the River Valley and return to Hawlerak Park direct.

Please note the following:
1/ Event duration is estimated at 2.0-2.5 hrs.
2/ The hike will be at a MODERATE PACE - approx 4km/h.
3/ There is a moderate but steady gradient up to Riverside Drive.
4/ Dogs are welcome on this hike, please include them when you sign up.
5/ Dog owners must comply with all relevant City of Edmonton bylaws.
6/ Bring a headlamp or flashlight, in case we run out of daylight!
