I have changed the start time 15 minutes earlier so we can attend the opening ceremonies which start at 11:00AM.

University of Alberta's Devonia n Botanical Gardens is a field collection of some of the most beautiful plants you'll ever see. Located just north of Devon, it's only about 30 minutes out of Edmonton's downtown. It even has an elaborate Japanese Garden, among other specialized displays.

On June 5th, Devonian Botanical Gardens has a special event going on - Kurimoto Japanese Garden Spring Festival. A celebration of Japanese culture in a very special spring setting. Martial arts demonstrations, art displays and demos, dance and music performances, authentic Japanese Tea Ceremonies, Japanese food sampling, the Kita no Taiko drummers and more.

Be sure to bring your camera!! UofA students: also please bring your ID for admission.

I will be waiting at the garden entrance and will be wearing my royal blue EOC baseball cap until 10:50AM. If you are running late, please bring my phone # with so you can contact me and we'll try to find each other.

Please note that there will be no official carpool for this event. If you do need a ride and know someone on the list attending, you're welcome to contact them or you can contact me and I'll see if someone will be able to assist in getting you to the event.
