- *NOTE #1: Please keep your eye on the EOC website and/or your e-mail in case I cancel the event due to bad weather conditions. If the wind picks up and there is a bad wind chill, I will cancel.

- *NOTE #2: Due to the cold temps, I will be shortening this hike to about an hour or so depending on how we all are. We won't be climbing up to Riverside Drive as we will be more exposed to the winds. We will stay low and on the south side of the river.

We will meet in the parking lot at Emily Murphy Park (NW corner nearest the Groat Road bridge) at 2:00 PM for registration, leaving at 2:10 PM SHARP.

The hike will begin by heading west into Hawrelak Park to the Buena Vista footbridge. From here, we'll decide if we turn back to the parking lot or do a loop in Hawrelak Park back to the starting point.

To recognize me at the meeting place, I will be driving a silver Toyota Rav4 and wearing a yellow EOC baseball cap, or check out my profile on the volunteers page.

Emily Murphy Park is at Groat Road and Emily Murphy Park Road NW.

To get to Emily Murphy Park from Gateway Blvd/Calgary Trail: head west on 82nd Ave/ Whyte Ave, then turn right on 110 St, then turn left on Saskatchewan Drive.
Keep to the right and take Emily Murphy Park Rd., turn right into Emily Murphy Park.

If you are coming from the north on Groat Road: take the exit toward Parks Area, turn left then right onto Emily Murphy Park Rd, destination will be on the left.

Once in the park turn left at the T intersection and meet in parking lot near the Groat Road Bridge.
