Itinerary:

We'll meet at the parking lot for Government House Park on the west side of the intersection of Groat Rd and River Valley Rd. at 11 AM for a 11:15 sharp departure.

We'll head east along the river towards Goldbar. We may stop there for a snack, as the group wishes, before returning. This will be an easy paced ride and we'll try to avoid those killer hills on this one. We'll ride out for about 10km and back for about 10km for a total of about 20km. This ride will be led by Neil assisted by Dennis.

Required Items to Bring:
Helmet. No helmet no ride no exceptions.
A bike, any bike will do (as long as it's in decent repair).

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Water, basic bike repair kit, appropriate clothing and footwear.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

From Westmount - south on Groat Rd, take the right lane for River Valley Rd, turn right into the parking lot before you go under the Groat bridge.

From U of A - north on Groat, cross the bridge, exit right, right again, under the bridge then left into the parking lot.

From River Valley Rd - west under Groat bridge then left into the parking lot.

Look for Neil and Dennis with their bikes.

This ride will be cancelled if the temperature is below 0 C or snowing or raining a significant amount at 9 AM.
