Suitable for Point and Shoot and or DSLR Cameras
Photowalk... Put your skills from our Beginner point & Shoot & DSLR photography events to the test. Join me for a stroll along the paths leading around Lake Beaumaris & surroundings. We'll use the participants as subjects and hopefully everyone will get lots of great pictures. There will be ample time for discussion and questions during the walk however be prepared to move at a pace to keep up with the dancers. For those unfamiliar with the term...... Photo walk: (Wikipedia) Photowalking is the act of walking with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things that the photographer may find interesting. While related to street photography, photowalking is differentiated by its impetus to photograph things of interest rather than people specifically. Photowalking can also promote physical fitness.

We will head out from the staircase behind the Edm Public Library Castledowns (AKA Beaumaris Library).

Meet at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start.

I will be wearing my yellow EOC baseball cap.

Required Items to Bring:
- Water
-your camera
- wide angle, zoom & telephoto (90mm & longer) lenses*
- freshly charged battery
-extra camera battery if you have one
- Comfortable footwear
- Suitable clothing for the weather

Directions to Edmonton Public Libraries Casltedowns Branch (Known to some as Beaumaris
located at the intersection of 153 Avenue and Castle Downs Road (113A Street) The library is located at the North end of the Lakeside Landing parking lot.***REMEMBER we are meeting on the staircase behind the Library***
The Castle Downs bus terminal is approximately 30 meters West of the library entrance. The Castle Downs bus terminal receives buses for Routes 13 16, 128, 162, 166 and 314.
