This is for people who know the basics of golf, and have played a bit already, and not for beginners. You don't have to be that good, but you have to be able to hit the ball and keep up.

Dealfind has a 9 hole evening golf special for $20, in west Edmonton, that expires on Oct 20, 2013. But you have to buy the voucher by March 27, otherwise you pay full price ($49). It's your option. Please call the course (780.470.4700) to check prices if you don't get a voucher.

I will probably do a second golf event at this place later in the summer, so if you don't use your voucher this time, then you can likely use it later or on your own or with friends.

OK NOW, the problem is scheduling as you can only book the tee-off time less than 7 days before. I will be calling 7 days before to try to get 2 tee times for around 6:45 PM or a bit later, for 2 foursomes.

If I can't get suitable tee-off times on May 16, then I will try again for the next day, Friday, May 17, so please leave both dates open. If for some unforeseen circumstance, we can't get May 16 or 17, I will try again for another future date, getting your input on the best dates for the group.

In the NOTES section of your registration, please indicate if you will be free on the following day, May 17. By default, I will assume that you are available. I will email everyone as soon as I book the tee-off time. If at any time you need to withdraw, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can update our registration with the course. So please sign up only if you are serious about playing!

At the course on the golf day, we just have to present our Dealfind vouchers to get the $20 deal.

As the deal includes a free driving range, I plan to be there about 5 pm to hit some balls.

Meet at the pro shop at 6:15 PM, or if earlier, exchange your voucher and get permission for the driving range and some balls and meet at the driving range. Our final meeting spot will be just outside the pro shop at 6:15 PM.

I'll be wearing my EOC hat.

golf clubs or rent them, golf balls, tees, golf shoes or running shoes with a good grip, appropriate clothing, if unsure call the club to get their dress code

From Edmonton, take 16A west to RR 262A, then south about 1.5 km and look for the golf course entrance to your right side. Park in the parking lot, and meet at the club house at 6:15 PM or if earlier, exchange your voucher and get permission for the driving range and some balls and meet at the driving range.
