The Taste of Edmonton festival is an annual event where 30-40 Edmonton restaurants setup kiosks in Churchill Square to present samples of their cuisine. It is an awesome opportunity, in a very social setting, to see what kind of fare local restaurants have on offer. In addition to food, there is a beer tent and there is also entertainment. “Taste Tickets” cost $1.00 each. Entrees and desserts usually cost on average between 4-5 tickets. It would be reasonable to plan on spending about $20 on tickets depending on your appetite! Tickets can also be purchased in advance at a 10% discount. Ticket sheets are $30.00 – 10% = $27.00 until July 18th.

Expect to spend 2-3 hours or longer at the Taste of Edmonton festival. If there is enough interest, we can either stick around for the entertainment "Hey Romeo" starting at 9:30pm or head over to a nearby pub afterwards.

Let's meet just outside Second Cup coffee shop, which is at the NW corner of the Edmonton Public Library’s downtown branch (100 Street & 102 Avenue), at 5:30pm. This is just across the street from Churchill Square.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

1. Parking is available in various parkades in the downtown area. Recommended are the Library Parkade, City Hall Parkade and the Edmonton Centre Parkade.
2. The LRT (subway) stops right at Churchill Square. Get off at the stop marked “Churchill Station”.
3. If taking a bus, consult the ETS Trip Planner
4. Meet just outside Second Cup coffee shop, which is at the NW corner of the Edmonton Public Library’s downtown branch (100 Street & 102 Avenue), at 5:30pm. This is just across the street from Churchill Square.
