The mountain hiking and backpacking season for most people is hear.This event is a faster pace urban hike with some stairs climbing mixed in, with few stops.These events are used for members who want to backpack/hike this season. We will meet in the parking lot at Emily Murphy Park at 6:15 pm for registration and leaving at 6:30 pm for the hike. Mid way through the hike we will come to a set of stairs. Here we will climb the stairs for 2 - 15 minute intervals and then finish the hike to Emily Murphy Parking Lot. Could encounter mud and slippery conditions, dress accordingly.If the river rises above the banks, we will walk on the high ground. Be sure to bring water to keep hydrated during the hike. | |||||||

Event Directions: | To get to Emily Murphy Park take Whitemud to Gateway Blvd NW/ Calgary Trail NW north Take a left on 82 Ave/ Whyte Ave Turn right on 110 St NW Take a left on Saskatchewan Drive NW Keep to the right and take Emily Murphy Park Rd NW Turn right into Emily Murphy Park Once in the park turn left at the T intersection and meet in parking lot near the Groat Road Bridge.
