This is an urban hike, not a backpacking conditioning hike. Pace will be slower than the conditioning event and there is no stairs on this hike. LOL We will meet in the parking lot at Capilano Park parking lot at 9:45 am for registration. We will leave at 10:00am. for the hike. The hike will last about 2 to 2.5 hrs The pace of the walk will be quick for some and few stops along the way.We will stop at Dawson Park for a short washroom break. You could encounter snow,slush,mud, slippery conditions, this time of year, etc. - dress accordingly.Please don't wear sneakers on this hike.Be sure to bring water and if need be, trail mix, power bars, to keep hydrated and energized during the hike, bring ski poles for the down hill climb. | |||||||

How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | To get to Capilano Park take Whitemud to 50th street Take a left on to 50th st. until you come to Capilano parking lot on the left hand side. You will pass Goldbar Treatment Plant on the right. If you end at the river you went too far. We will meet in the parking lot at 9:45am and we leave on our hike at 10:00am.
