Itinerary:
The Mill Woods Mill Creek Ravine Park is located near the Jackie Parker Recreational Area in Mill Woods. I walk all the River Valley parks and this section of the Mill Creek Ravine in Mill Woods one is my favourites; even though it’s not connected with the more well know sections near the River Valley. These single track and double wide trails are quite isolated and it is hard to believe that you are in the middle of a residential area in the City. There are nice wooden bridges crisscrossing the creek and you could see a fair amount of wildlife there too. I often see squirrels and chipmunks, lots of birds; the occasional deer and owl too".

We will be hiking at a brisk pace East along Mill Creek on single track and double wide trails for approximately 1 hour (each direction) and returning West on similar trails. Some sections of the trail are steep and can be slippery when wet. Footwear with a good tread is essential. We will meet for check in and introductions at 6:25 PM, and leave at 6:30 PM sharp. Dogs are permitted, but must be on leash.

Donate to the EOC!

We are requesting $2.00 per event in person, or our suggested annual donation of $20 be done electronically.
For your convenience, you can donate via Paypal or PC Banking directly to our Treasurer Donna M tr easurer@edmontonout doorclub.com

Also please note that this is a group hike - therefore "superfast hikers" (>5.4 km/hr and above) should be prepared to wait for the group as a whole throughout the whole hike.
If you're not prepared to do this, then this will not be the event for you.

Similarily - "less than regular hikers" (<5.1 km/hr) - please find the time to get some training hikes in before this one, so that you are not "caught cold" doing this high moderate intermediate pace hike!

Bring walking aids (walking stick, hiking poles, etc) as desired.
