Itinerary: | |||||||
Join us for a winter bike ride in Terwillegar Dog
Park. You don’t need a fat tire bike to ride in the winter, but you do need a mountain bike with some gripped tires. We will generally stick to the wider paths and routes in the dog park and enjoy being outside and on our bikes. Terwillegar Park is an off-leash dog park, and thus we may need to slow down, dodge or stop to let dogs and their owners by. You are welcome to bring your dog but note that they should be able to keep up to bikes at a moderate pace. We will meet in the west end of the parking lot at 9:30 am and depart at 9:35 am. I will be standing next to my red truck with my ~30 year old hard tail mountain bike. After our ride, and weather permitting, bring your thermos with a hot beverage (and/or stove) and join our physically distanced tailgate coffee time. Participants are encouraged
to
abide by physical
distancing requirements (2m) and not to share
water
or food. Please do not come if you are
experiencing
any symptoms of Covid19 or if you have been in
contact with someone who is exhibiting symptoms
and/or tested for COVID. Additional requirements: 1. Create social space. Avoid greeting each other where there is the potential for skin-to- skin contact, such as hugs or handshakes or high- fives. . When in doubt, share a friendly wave and 'hello'. Blow your nose, cough, sneeze, or clear your airway at least 2 metres away from others. Don't use clothing to wipe. Wear a mask in public places to help limit the risk of spread to others if you will be within 2 metres of people other than members of your own household. 2. Are you feeling unwell? If you have a cough or flu-like symptoms, you must stay home, and should consider getting yourself tested by calling 8-1- 1. Also the Alberta government states if you have symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat or runny nose, you MUST self-isolate for 10 days after the onset of symptoms and until your symptoms have resolved (whichever is longer). *If you are in mandatory self-isolation you can not legally go outside for a walk through your neighbourhood or park. 3. Your EOC event hosts are volunteers. Participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, their current physical condition, current trail conditions, and are responsible for their own safety and well-being. 4.
