Meeting Location

Directions:
- Whitemud Drive to 170 ST South
- turn left onto Wolf Willow Road,
- turn right onto Wanyandi Road
- look for a small blue sign labelled Fort Edmonton Foot Bridge on Wanyandi Road at its intersection with Wanyandi Way
- turn left onto Wanyandi Way.
- Follow Wanyandi Way a short distance along, and you will see permitted/signed curbside parking for Fort Edmonton Footbridge on the right (south) side of Wanyandi Way, west of its intersection with Wize Court.
- Park on the south side as described above, and we will meet by the Wize Court intersection.

The hike will be at a brisk pace and will include mostly wide snow covered paths. Length of hike will be approx. 16-18km and should take us 3.5-4 hours to complete.

We will meet at 6:20PM and the hike will begin at 6:30PM. We will begin by hiking down into the river valley and following snowy path towards Terwillegar Park. Once in Terwillegar there are more wide paths that we can take heading towards Anthony Henday. We will continue with a pace of 4.5-5km/hr. The loop continues around Anthnoy Henday footbridge and works its way back around the other side of the river through the ravine system in Wedgewood, and the river ridge along Donsdale and Gariepy. We eventually end up where we started.
