Itinerary:
Please meet in the parking lot by 6:50 PM for a prompt 7:00 PM departure.This walk will be at a brisk pace. We will set off from the Victoria Park parking lot heading east to the Royal Glenora stairs. After climbing the stairs to Constable Ezio Faraone Park we will then cross the High Level Bridge to the south side of the river. From the bridge we will head through the University of Alberta on Saskatchewan Drive and into Hawrelak Park via Emily Murphy Park road. We will take the trail around Hawrelak Park and the Mayfair Golf Course before returning to our vehicles via Groat Bridge and the River Valley road.

If the trail around Hawrelak and the Golf Course is in poor condition we will do a loop through the park instead.

  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Comfortable, supportive hiking footwear with good traction

    How to Get There:
    Event Directions:From Groat Road bridge head east approx. 1.5 km on River Valley Road and the parking lot will be on your left. It is the same parking lot as the Victoria Skating Oval.

    This walk will be at a brisk pace.
