Itinerary:

Meet at the parking lot at the NW end of Groat Bridge at 6:45pm for a 7pm departure. We will walk west along the MacKinnon Ravine trail, as far as it goes (just short of 149 Street). At that point, we will turn around and start heading back east along MacKinnon Ravine. After we pass under the 142 St bridge, there is a flight of stairs that takes us up into Glenora (St. George's Crescent). We will climb those stairs and enjoy the great views over the River Valley. We will then continue through Glenora (quick stop over at the Korean Pavillion) and across 102 Ave, to access The Promenade (Boulevard) to Grant Notley Park. When ready we will climb down the Glenora Country Club Staircase and loop back past Victoria golf course along the River Valley Road to the parking lot.

    How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

    From Westmount - south on Groat Road, take the right lane for River Valley Rd, turn right into the parking lot before you go under the Groat Bridge.

    From U of A - north on Groat Road, cross the bridge, exit right, right again, under the bridge then left into the parking lot.

    From River Valley Rd - west under Groat Bridge then left into the parking lot.
