Itinerary: | |||||||
We will start out at the Royal Glenora Club at 7:00 PM sharp, go above Victoria Park, cross the river at Groat Road, pass Emily Murphy & Kinsmen Parks. We will then cross the Walterdale Bridge & head back towards the parking lot.
We'll be meeting in the gravel parking lot on the East side of the Royal Glenora Club. I will have a blue EOC cap hanging on the antenna of my car, so you can recognise me. The stairs nearby are a favourite among stair climbers because they are challenging, wide & offer a great view of the river valley. We will only be doing the stairs once in the beginning. After we return to the parking lot if you want extra exercise, you can go up & down the stairs as many times as you want :) Difficulty: the walk will be at a "moderate-brisk" pace (approx 5km/h) This urban hike will be about 6km only. Dogs are welcome on this hike, however they must be leashed because there is no off-leash area where we are going. If you are bringing your dog(s) please note this when you sign up for the event.

Event Directions: | The Royal Glenora Club is right off of River Valley Road just west
of the High Level Bridge (near Victoria Golf Course). We will meet in the gravel parking lot to the East. Look for Mark with a blue hat hanging from the antenna of his car. see map below View Larger Map
