Itinerary:


It is Spring and time for some exercise to get in shape, no better place than the river valley nature trails and some of the challenging stairs it provides. So come on out and get fit for the hiking season.

We will meet in the parking lot of the Fox Drive Stairs in front of the Alfred H. Savage Centre (the site has an indoor washroom facility) at 7:00 PM and leave at 7:05 PM for the hike. Click here for the site amenities. Come well hydrated and keep your dinner light.
We could encounter slippery conditions, dress accordingly. We will start our hike by climbing the staircase and loop around on the path back to the base of the stairs. Then we will proceed on to Hawrelak Park via the river trails.

Novice and intermediate walkers are all welcome, but please be advised that this walk has a brisk pace.

Required Items to Bring:
- Appropriate hiking footwear and clothing
- Water

How to Get There:
Event Directions:To get to the Fox Drive stairs and Alfred H. Savage Centre, take Whitemud to Fox Drive.
Go past the left turn to Fort Edmonton Park and take the next left by the Equestrian centre follow the road around back under the Fox Drive bridge into the parking lot at the base of the stairs right in front of the Alfred H. Savage Centre.

Mark will be wearing a light blue EOC hat
