Come and check out these natural areas located a short distance to the west of Edmonton!

We will start off at the Clifford E Lee Nature Sanctuary located off Hwy 60 near Devon. Details below:
Location Details

There are approx 5km of well-maintained trails:
Trails info

It is hoped that getting there relatively early in the morning will enable us to enjoy more birdlife and other flora/fauna, compared to other times of the day.

We will spend up to 2 hours or so at Clifford E Lee, then head a short distance to the NW to the Wagner Natural Area.
Wagner Natural Area
There is a short (1.5km) but very pretty interpretive trail around this area:
Trail Info

Note that parts of the trail at Wagner may be waterlogged, so please bring suitable waterproof footwear and expect to get your feet wet! :-)
Expect to spend at least 1.5 hours at Wagner Natural Area.

After visiting both locations, we can return to Edmonton for snacks/refreshments if desired.

TRAVEL DETAILS
There will be a carpool on offer - leaving from the overflow parking lot north of the WEM, on the north side of 90 Avenue, east of 175 Street.
Look for me with my yellow EOC baseball cap and standing by a grey Hyundai Elantra.

WEM to Clifford E Lee is approx 30 mins driving time, and Clifford E Lee to Wagner is approx another 30 mins driving time.
For those meeting at the carpool, meet at 8:30am for an 8:40am departure. We need to leave by 8:40am - please be on time.
Note that the carpool location is on the opposite side of the WEM from the transit centre, so please allow at least 15 mins between arriving at the transit centre and getting to the carpool!
