Fort Edmonton Park is a living history park that traces the growth and development of Edmonton through four historical periods represented by: The Fort, 1885 Street, 1905 Street and 1920 Street.

Join costumed interpreters on 1905 Street for an activity-filled afternoon. Follow the twinkling lights down 1905 Street to find old-fashioned family fun on a fire and ice theme. From bonfires to snowballs, enjoy the extremes winter can provide.

At the Firkins' House we'll listen to the phonograph and help Dr. and Mrs. Firkins order gifts out of the Eaton's catalogue. We will also enjoy a fire and ice dessert popular in 1912 - the "Baked Alaska".

At the Rutherford House we'll enjoy some outdoor winter pursuits like tobogganing, making snowmen and snowball fights. We will warm up with a hot beverage, a non-alcoholic hot buttered rum.

At the Henderson House we'll help Mr. and Mrs. Henderson make beeswax candles to light their home in the dark months of winter.

And at St. Anthony's Church, we'll join the school teacher to make maple syrup candy in the snow.

Located just off Whitemud Freeway and Fox Drive, access from Fox Drive only.

We will meet in Field Parking Area that is located just off the main road you will follow past the public parking lot. You will pass the guard house and stop at three stop signs before arriving at the parking lot. We will meet in the NE corner of the parking lot.

I will circulate a map to all confirmed attendees in advance of the event.
