Itinerary:
We will be heading to the Okanagan for a cycling adventure!

Day 1: Friday afternoon we will drive to Golden and spend the night at the Country Comfort Bed and Breakfast.

Day 2: Saturday morning we will leave Golden and head to Penticton. Saturday afternoon we will drop off our bikes at the Penticton Visitor Centre and pick up our registration packages for the Okanagan Trestles Tour. Saturday night we will be staying at the Barefoot Beach Resort yurts.

Day 3: We will be participating in the 1-day * Okanagan Trestles Tour. There are two tours to choose from. There is an 80km route from Myra Canyon/Kelowna and a 40km route from Chute Lake to Penticton. Saturday morning we will drive together as a group to the Penticton Visitor Centre where we will be shuttled to our various starting points. This is a fun oriented non-competitive event. There will be rest stops with food, drinks, mechanical support and first aid. The tour finishes in Pentitcton where there will be live music, BBQ, wine and beer. The 80 km route is challenging with the average time being 5-7 hours. The 40km route will take approximately 2.5 -3.5 hours. Sunday night we will return to our yurts at the Barefoot Beach Resort.

Day 4: We will join Monashee Adventures on an* East Kelowna Wine Trail Cycle Tour. This is a 20-30km bike ride that will take us to four wineries for tastings. There will be a van following behind us with refreshments and empty seats should we need it. They will also carry any bottles we purchase on route. Monday night we will be staying at the Samesun Backpackers Hostel.

Day 5: We make the long journey back home to Edmonton.

All bike tours are optional. Individuals are responsible for registering themselves for the Trestles Tour. Include in the notes whether you will be partipating in the Trestles Tour and for what distance and whether ou plan to rent a bike or take your own. Also include in the notes whether you are interested in the winery tour on Monday and we will make arrangements for payment at a later date.

The cost of the trip only covers accommodation and since both bike rides are *optional you are welcome to join us and enjoy an sunny weekend in the Okanagan if that is what you would prefer.

Accommodation: The yurts in Penticton sleep 4 - 6. We have booked one 6 person yurt and one 4 person yurt and paid a 10% non- refundable deposit. We will not be giving refunds if you have to cancel unless we can find a replacement. If you have to cancel and we can find a replacement, you will receive a full refund.
