***PLEASE NOTE:*** This event is now FULL. Our snowshoeing pace will be EASY-PACED - no speed demons please. The plan is to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the great company, and the photo opportunities while having FUN so bring your cheerful personalities along. The maximum number of people for this trip is 12. I have made hostel reservations for 3 private rooms with 4 bunk beds in each room for this trip at The Hostel Bear in Canmore. About The Hostel Bear: Bedding will be provided and sleeping bags are NOT permitted. There is a well equipped kitchen with appliances, pots and pans, dishes to cook your own food for the weekend. There is running water, hot showers and electricity here. ----- ITINERARY: FRIDAY - Drive to Canmore. SATURDAY and SUNDAY - As discussed, Rummel Creek on Saturday and Haffner, Paint Pots, and Marble Canyon trails on Sunday. Further details sent to attendees. MONDAY - We will hike up Grotto Canyon (4km, gradual elevation gain) mid morning to view the pictographs then head back to Edmonton in the afternoon. *Please note that ice grips are a requirement!* Possible late afternoon/evening activities: ice skating on the pond in town &/or wander around the streets & shops &/or hang out in a pub & hope to find some live music. Plus we can check out their winter carnival. **Please note that there will be an optional meeting at Block 1912 on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:00pm to discuss carpool arrangements, meals, etc.** | |||||||

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions. - When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met.
