Itinerary: | |||||||
Emily Murphy Park, William Hawrelak Park and a couple of Ravines. Join us for this mid morning wakeup stroll thru the splendour of Edmonton's River Valley. We will meet at Emily Murphy Park parking lot at the bottom of the Emily Murphy Road entrance to the Park at 10:30 A.M. and will leave at 10:45 A.M.. This entrance is located where Saskatchewan Drive turns into Groat Road, and is located NW of the University. This parking lot is close to the washrooms, look for the EOC coordinators wearing a yellow hat. We will head south through William Hawrelak Park crossing the foot bridge, then continue north to McKinnon Ravine (please note this section includes a longish steady climb.) From the top of the Ravine we head east towards the Groat Bridge, then cross the River and return to Emily Murphy Park. Likely to be slippery footing so bring along those Traction Spikes / Ice Grips. | |||||||
