Edmonton’s Candy Cane Lane is one of Edmonton's must-see attractions during the Christmas season.
Candy Cane Lane was established more than 35 years ago by residents in Crestwood Community and over time has grown to become a spectacular lights and decorations display that covers more than 10 city blocks - along 148 street, from 100 avenue to 92 avenue. This year the Lane officially opens Saturday December 11 and lights up at 5:00 p.m. until around midnight on January 2. We will meet at the Starbucks located at the Jasper Gates strip mall (14957 Stony Plain Rd NW) at 6:45 PM so that we can start meandering down 148 street at 7:00 PM. We’ll walk from 99 down to 92 Ave, and then cross over to the other side of the street so we can see all of the houses. Food Bank boxes are placed all along Candy Cane Lane - please bring a donation along with your holiday spirit. **NOTE: This is one of Edmonton's most popular attractions. Please arrive early enough to find parking or plan to take public transit. | |||||||
