We will meet in the parking lot at the entrance to the City Zoo parking lot and Sir Wilfred Laurier Park at 6:15 p.m. for registration and leave at 6:30 p.m. for the hike. We will be hiking at a brisk pace from the parking lot to the Buena Vista Off Leash area, and along the river, to MacKinnon Ravine. We will then follow the river North East to Groat Bridge. After we cross the river we will circle back to the Zoo along the east side of the river through Hawrelak Park. Some sections of the trail are steep and they can be slippery when wet. Good footwear is essential. The approximate distance is 10 km, so we will keep a brisk pace of 4-5 km/hour. | |||||||
