Itinerary:

1. The Taste of Edmonton festival is an annual event where 40 Edmonton restaurants setup kiosks in Churchill Square to present samples of their cuisine. It is an awesome opportunity, in a very social setting, to see what kind of fare local restaurants have on offer. This event is especially recommended for anybody who is a relative newcomer to Edmonton. The full event runs for 10 days but we will content ourselves with going for just a single evening. In addition to food, there is a beer tent and there is also entertainment. Click this LINK for further info
2.Meet just outside Second Cup coffee shop, which is at the NW corner of the Edmonton Public Library downtown branch (100 Street & 102 Avenue), between 5:45 & 6:00 pm. This is just across the street from Churchill Square.
3. The cost for the event depends on your appetite. Festival goers purchase Taste Tickets. Entrees & desserts usually cost between 2-6 tickets (the average being 3 or 4 tickets). It would be reasonable to plan on spending about $15 on tickets. Tickets can also be purchased in advance (prior to July 22nd) at a 10% discount; see the above-referenced web link for details.
4. Expect to spend 2-3 hours at the Taste of Edmonton festival; if there is enough interest, we will continue on to a downtown pub for a drink afterward.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

1. Parking is available in various parkades in the downtown area. Recommended are the Library Parkade, City Hall Parkade and the Edmonton Centre Parkade. City Hall Parkade is a bargain after 6 pm.
2. The LRT (subway) stops right at Churchill Square. Get off at the stop marked �Churchill Station�.
