Mon, Oct 26 2009 - Beaver Pond Trail (View Original Event Details)
|
It was a very pleasant evening for a short hike in Elk Island Park today. Six of us met at the trailhead for the Beaver Pond Trail and we all commented on how it is the very last northerly trailhead in the park so the drive through the park takes a few extra minutes. We began walking at about 5:30 and were done by 6:20pm. The website says 3.5km but the sign at the TH says 3km so I'm not really sure how far but very pleasant walking indeed. We did see some bison and the presence of beavers were noticeable also. I enjoyed the company and it was a good way to wind down a Monday. Thanks to those who came out this evening. Cheers! Jeff
