Sat, Jun 21 2025 - Sulphur Skyline (Day Trip) (View Original Event Details)
| ![]() |
This trip started in the early hours of the day. We drove to The Old Grind Cafe in Hinton to enjoy a meal before our hike. The day was rainy and foggy. With the recent rock fall incident on the icefields parkway and days of rain leading up to the hike the group was cautious starting the trek. We were all prepared for the elements and brought warm layers for the summit. We eventually found a steady slow pace which reduced stopping time and the group reached a meadow to enjoy some snacks and layer up for the final 400 meter ascent to the top. The hike took 2 hours and 48 minutes. After the hike the hotsprings were calling. On a cool rainy day, there is nothing better then a hot steamy soak in the hotsprings.
