Sun, Sep 21 2008 - Urban Hike and Shoreline Cleanup (View Original Event Details)
|
We had a successful clean-up in the Mill Creek Ravine, and the weather cooperated nicely. Although there wasn't much creek left, we followed it as best we could, collecting various debris along the way. With the creek really low, there was a lot of garbage exposed along the creek bottom. Among the more interesting items we collected were a shopping cart, a couple of tires, a computer, window bars, and a traffic sign. Many areas were noticeably cleaner than last time around, so many thanks to those who came out to past clean-ups - it makes a big difference! Thanks to everyone for coming out, getting dirty, and helping make Edmonton parks nicer for all!!
