With umbrellas in hand and enthusiastic smiles on our faces, the eleven of us headed out into the downtown market. Despite the forecast, the weather was just right for a morning stroll with a gentle breeze and no rain at all. Many vendors were selling plants, vegetables, salsas, mustards, potato bread, jewelry, t-shirts and so much more. Afterwards we headed to the Axis café for some yummy snacks and to chat with everyone for a bit. We shared some of our market finds and learned some important lessons (ie. don’t get caught in a room during a medical procedure - thank you Heather). It was great getting to know everyone and to be able to enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning together.
