Wed, Sep 21 2016 - The Art of Forest Conservation (View Original Event Details)
|
Two of us traveled 1.5 hours South West of Edmonton near Genesee to a property owned and managed by Nature Conservancy of Canada. We met up with other members of the NCC volunteer team. In the morning and early afternoon we cleared approx. 820 meters of barbed wire fence! This project will allow animals to move freely across the land without the threat of being injured or entangled in the wire. In the mid afternoon a local artist, Justina Smith, led the group on a meditative session of nature journaling. She does some amazing mixed media journaling and her work can be view here: http://www.justlittleart.com/blog/ Can't wait to attend another event with the NCC team! Thanks for joining me Aggie. - Beata (Betty)
