Thanks again everyone for joining us despite the frigid temps - I think we were all warm enough though for most of it being all bundled up! ~ Sandie :)
Here was the Event Schedule:
Mill Creek Ravine 6 – 10 pm
- Characters along the trail animating legend of La chasse-galerie (The Flying Canoe)
- Métis Base Camp - we saw the Métis jigs/ reels and Cheryl and Sandie participated in some of their traditional dances
- Bannock making over open fires
- Trapper’s Cabin
- Storytelling
- Teepee
- Drumming, conversation, tea and bannock
- Horse-drawn wagon ride
Rutherford School – illuminated 6 – 10 pm
- Café Croissant
- 'Flying Canoe Olympics' - Fédération du sport francophone de l’Alberta (FSFA) - too bad we missed those
La Cité en lumières/ La Cité Francophone - illuminated 6 – 12 am
- Snow Slide & Snow Blocks
- Outdoor Patio – Café Bicyclette
- Ice Bar
- Live Music
