We had a great weekend in the mountains. Saturday's weather wasn't what the forecast predicted for us. The temperature was right, but instead of a sunny day we had heavy snow all day long. The weather, however, did not stop our strong and determined group from taking the challenges of the beautiful Blueberry Hill. The snow was much deeper than what we expected and it was not very easy to move, especially since there was no official trail for snowshoeing and we had to make our trail.
Saturday evening we went back to the hostel and a fantastic pot-luck dinner was waiting for us. Many thanks to everyone, we had hot chili, roast duck, stuffed potatoes, garlic bread, broccoli salad, and veggies for dinner and fruits, cheesecake, and a beautiful heart-shaped cake for dessert.
Sunday morning we snowshoed to Grassi Lakes. This time we had great weather and managed to take many great pictures. You can find Charlotte's pictures on Picasa by following THIS LINK.
It was a great pleasure for me to meet all of you awesome people and I hope to see you soon again.
