Tue, May 18 2010 - Capilano through Kinnaird Ravine to Dawson Loop (View Original Event Details)
|
Except for some scattered showers it was a beautiful night for a hike. In a group of eleven, we left Capilano park and headed for the first set of stairs on the south west corner of the Capilano bridge. Most of the group worked the stairs for a good ten minutes while the rest of us did some push-ups and sit-ups. Then we crossed the Capilano bridge and spent another ten minutes on the stairs on the north side of the bridge. Then we headed up the hill toward the Kinnaird Ravine where we encountered some slippery spots due to recent showers. We spent another ten minutes on the stairs in the Kinnaird Ravine and then headed to Dawson park where we had a quick stop for the washrooms and refilling our water bottles. At this point warm rain was pouring quietly and we had a wonderful time walking back to Capilano Park. We followed the trail down by the north side of the river to the Capilano foot bridge and back to the parking lot. Thank you for coming out and see you soon. Saeed and Mae.
