Write Up:
What a relief, the wind stopped, the sun came out, and it was a beautiful day to hike Elk Island. 12 of us left the carpool and headed to Elk Island. We hiked Shirley Lake trail, stopping at the picnic spot on the other side of Oster Lake, before heading back around on the other side of the lake. While we say lots of bison droppings, we did not meet any big guys. We did see snow geese flying over us and on the lake. It was a beautiful day for a hike!
