Itinerary:

Meet at the parking lot for Dawson Park (10298 89 Street) at 6:00pm for a 6:10 departure. I will be wearing a royal blue EOC baseball cap and standing by a silver Toyota Rav4, so you can recognize me.

This hike is on a mixture of paved and unsurfaced trails, and will be at a easy to moderate pace. However, note that the trail up Kinnaird Ravine is a long steady climb.

Head NE from the parking lot along the paved River Valley trail as far as Kinnaird Ravine, then head up Kinnaird Ravine where we will spend a few moments looking at some of the impressive murals which have been displayed in the Ravine over the last few months. We will then leave the Ravine and pick up a small trail that takes us back into the River Valley, prior to returning to our cars.

The event duration will be approximately 1.5 hours.

Note that dogs are very welcome on this hike, please note City of Edmonton bylaws re on- leash/off-leash areas though.

Also, please keep an eye on your emails and the weather forecast, in case things turn nasty with the weather.... (but let's hope not!).

Dawson Park is located on the north/west side of the River, signed off Rowland Road on the west side of Dawson Bridge.
